The aims of Up Front are to provide empathy and support to those with breast cancer, at any stage of their treatment and beyond, as they continue with their lives. All the members have ‘’been there’ and really do understand how others may be feeling.  Whether it’s to discuss practical issues and to benefit from others’ experiences, or perhaps for someone to talk to and share your concerns, or indeed just simply to have really relaxed chats and  great fun – Up Front will be there!

At each meeting, we  aim to provide companionship and understanding, especially when people need to share their feelings with someone other than those closest to them. Through providing this support, the group hopes to restore confidence, self belief and optimism about the future.

Importantly, the group is very sociable!  No-one is ever left sitting by themselves in a corner! For us it is wonderful to know that a number of strong friendships have formed between our members where they enjoy meeting regularly  outside of the Up Front monthly meetings.
